skirting profile

The NLP-XF17 Skirting Shadow Gap Profile from Nucleo is a slim, low-profile aluminium trim designed to replace the traditional visible skirting board with a clean, shadow-line reveal at the base of a wall or cabinet. Instead of a raised baseboard, it creates a thin recessed gap where the wall or cabinetry appears to “float“ just above the floor — a detail widely used in modern interiors, modular kitchens, and minimalist wall-to-floor junctions. Its T-shaped, flush-mount design lets it sit almost invisibly at the base of drywall, paneling, or cabinet toe-kicks, with just a slim reveal line visible from the front. Because the channel can house an LED strip, it doubles as a source of soft, indirect floor-level lighting — a warm glow that washes the floor from beneath the wall or cabinet edge, adding both a modern skirting detail and functional ambient or night lighting in kitchens, hallways, and living spaces. Key features: The profile has a compact footprint of 42mm in width by just 13.7mm in height, keeping the reveal line thin and unobtrusive. It's made from solid extruded aluminium at 157 grams per meter, light enough for easy handling and cutting on site while holding a straight, consistent line along skirting runs. It comes in a black finish that blends into shadow lines and floor junctions without drawing attention to the trim itself. Standard length is 2 meters per piece, packed 50 profiles per pack, suited to both small installations and larger project orders. Best used for: cabinet toe-kick and kickboard lighting, wall-to-floor shadow gap skirting, modern baseboard replacement, and hidden ambient or night lighting at floor level. Note: LED strip sold separately; confirm strip width and CCT/lumen output compatibility before ordering.
