DALI DT6 & DT8 LED Power Supply – Slim 12V/24V Dimmable Driver, 60W–250W | Nucleo
Nucleo · DALI DT6 / DT8

The dimmable driver that disappears into the build

A slim constant voltage power supply that fits inside the profile or ceiling void, and takes DALI, 0-10V or push-dim from the same unit.

The problem it solves

Space is tight and the control spec keeps changing

On site, two things go wrong with LED drivers. The driver is too bulky for the cavity the electrician was promised, and the control system gets decided late: a BMS integrator wants DALI, the client prefers a wall dimmer, or one zone moves to 0-10V.

This Nucleo power supply answers both. The body is slim enough to sit inside aluminium profile channels, ceiling voids and trunking. All three dimming inputs are built into the unit, so the control method is a wiring decision at commissioning rather than a purchase decision months earlier.

Constant voltage, by design

Output is fixed at 12V or 24V DC within the rated wattage. That makes it the right choice for LED strips, profile systems and other fixed-voltage loads. For COB modules and spotlights, specify a constant current driver instead.

Choose your protocol

DT6 for brightness, DT8 for colour

DALI DT6 · single channel

One DALI address controls brightness from 0 to 100% on a single-colour or white load. Works with any standard DALI controller.

  • Best for white strip and profile runs
  • Simple addressing and commissioning
  • 12V and 24V, 60W to 250W

DALI DT8 · tunable white / RGBW

Adds colour control on the same bus: two channels for tunable white, four for RGBW. Needs a controller that supports the DT8 colour extension.

  • Best for hospitality, retail and offices
  • Brightness and colour from one address
  • 12V and 24V, 60W to 250W

Three control inputs, one unit

DALI for addressed, scene-based commercial control. 0-10V for analogue dimmer panels, KNX modules and BMS outputs. Push-dim for a simple two-wire button, where holding the button ramps brightness up or down with no controller at all.

Features

Built for concealed installation

📏

Ultra-slim body

Slides into profile channels, false ceiling voids and recessed trunking where a brick driver will not fit.

🔵

DALI-2 digital bus

Addressing, groups and scenes for commercial projects, on both DT6 and DT8 variants.

🎚️

Smooth, flicker-free dimming

Full 0 to 100% range without visible steps at the low end.

🛡️

Full protection

Short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature protection with automatic recovery.

🌬️

Fanless cooling

Convection cooled, so there is no fan noise or moving part to fail in a quiet room.

⚡

Power factor above 0.90

Efficient use of supply, with wide AC input from 100 to 240V.

🔁

Change control later

Move from push-dim to DALI, or add a BMS, without replacing the driver.

Sizing in three moves

Add up the strip wattage. Add about 20% headroom. Round up to the next unit. Choose 24V for runs up to about 10 metres per channel and 12V for runs of about 5 metres or where 12V strip is already specified.

Questions

DALI power supply FAQ

Constant voltage. Output holds at 12V DC or 24V DC within the rated wattage, which suits LED strips and profile systems. COB modules and spotlights need a constant current driver instead.
DT6 controls brightness of a single channel. DT8 adds colour, driving tunable white across two channels or RGBW across four. DT8 needs a DALI controller that supports the DT8 colour extension, while DT6 works with any standard DALI controller.
No. All three control inputs are built into every unit. You wire the one your project uses at commissioning and can change method later without replacing the driver.
Calculate the total LED load, add about 20% headroom and round up to the next size: 60W, 80W, 100W, 150W, 200W or 250W. A driver run near its ceiling ages faster.
Use 24V for longer runs, up to roughly 10 metres per channel, because lower current means less voltage drop. Use 12V for shorter runs of about 5 metres or where 12V strip is already specified.
Yes. The ultra-slim body is made to sit inside profile channels and recessed voids. It is IP20 and fanless, so keep it in a dry, ventilated, serviceable location.
Short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature protection, all with automatic recovery. Once the fault clears the driver restarts by itself, so there is no fuse to replace.
