Installation Guide
🔩 Surface Mounting
- Mark the NovaTilt mount position on the ceiling. For accent lighting a specific target, position the fixture horizontally 30–50% of the ceiling height away from the target wall — this gives the 90° tilt range the geometry to reach the target cleanly without the beam cutting across the ceiling surface.
- Feed the mains supply cable through the ceiling at the marked position — use a 20mm grommet hole or surface conduit from the nearest ceiling rose or junction box. The NovaTilt base plate conceals the cable entry point.
- Mark the four base-plate fixing hole positions through the NovaTilt base onto the ceiling surface. Pre-drill at the marked positions with a 4mm bit and insert appropriate wall plugs for your ceiling material (Rawlbolts for concrete, standard plugs for plasterboard into stud).
- Connect the mains cable to the NovaTilt driver input inside the base cavity using the push-in connectors supplied. For DALI models, additionally connect the 2-core DALI signal cable from the DALI controller. Observe L (Live), N (Neutral), E (Earth) polarity.
- Align the base plate over the fixing holes and secure with the four countersunk screws provided. Tighten firmly — the base plate must be flush against the ceiling surface with no gaps that would cause movement during tilt adjustment.
