Smooth light is the default. Texture is the decision.
Most linear lighting is judged by how invisible the source looks. A honeycomb face takes the opposite position: the surface itself becomes part of the design. Switched off, it reads as a quiet geometric relief. Switched on, the light resolves into a field of small hexagonal cells.
The Nucleo 16×16mm honeycomb channel is built from flexible silicone and supplied empty. You pick the LED strip that suits the room, slide it in, and the profile handles diffusion, protection and shape. The result is a feature line that holds attention without needing a fixture, a panel or a custom fabrication.
Because it bends in the plane of the lit face, it follows curved ceilings, arched niches and sweeping wall reveals with a continuous run rather than a series of straight segments.
Why the cell pattern matters
A smooth diffuser hides the light source. A honeycomb face displays it as structure. This gives a designer a surface that looks finished by day and distinctive by night, which is hard to achieve with plain linear profiles.
Built-in features
Hexagon-textured face
Repeating cells shape the glow into a patterned surface that reads clearly from a distance.
Top-bending silicone
Curves smoothly in the lit plane for arcs, coves and flowing lines without kinking.
Empty channel flexibility
Choose single colour, tunable white or colour-changing strips to match each project.
Protective housing
The silicone body shields the strip from dust, handling and casual contact.
Cut to length on site
Trim the channel and strip separately to fit exact runs, with end caps to finish.
100m roll supply
Long continuous rolls suit large projects and reduce joints along a run.
Clip or groove mounting
Fix with clips for surface runs or set it into a continuous groove for a flush look.
Colour-friendly texture
Colour-changing strips make each cell shift tone, adding depth to the pattern.
Tip: give the pattern room
The texture reads best with a little clear space around it. Avoid tucking the lit face tight against a rough surface, and keep the strip centred in the channel so the cells glow evenly along the run.
Where it belongs
Hotel lobbies
A textured accent line behind reception or along a feature wall.
Bars and lounges
Back-bar edges and counter fronts with colour-changing texture.
Living room coves
Curved ceiling reveals with a soft, patterned glow.
Retail displays
Shelf fascia and brand wall outlines with visible character.
Restaurants
Booth backs, ceiling arcs and accent walls with warm texture.
Studios and lounges
Wall outlines and ceiling shapes with striking visual identity.
Reception walls
Logo-adjacent lines and curved desk surrounds.
Facade accents
Weather-ready silicone lines when properly sealed and cabled.
Bedroom headboards
Soft patterned outlines behind and around the bed.
Installation in four moves
Mount the channel with clips or in a groove, slide the LED strip in, seal the ends with caps, then connect to a compatible driver chosen for your strip. Keep cable entries sealed and the lit face unobstructed.
