It's a trimless, plaster-in profile built to sit fully flush with the finished ceiling or wall, so that once painting is done, nothing metallic is left showing. What the room sees is only the diffuser itself, level with the surrounding surface, whether lit or off.
That flush finish depends on depth. At 57.3mm x 22.6mm outside, with a 17.3mm x 15.1mm inner channel, the NLP-1722 has enough room behind the diffuser to house the LED strip, its connectors, and the wiring bend without any of it pushing against the finished surface. It ships as a complete pair — profile and diffuser together, 40 pieces of each per pack — in black or white, so the finished run reads as one continuous line rather than a string of points.
Depth Is What Makes Trimless Possible
A shallow trimless profile runs into a real problem: strip connectors and solder joints take up more room than the LED strip itself, and a thin channel has nowhere to put them except pressed against the plaster — which either bulges the finish or forces a service gap that undoes the trimless look entirely. The NLP-1722's 22.6mm depth and 17.3mm x 15.1mm inner channel solve this directly, leaving clearance for connectors, joints, and the wiring run toward the driver, all sitting clear of the surface. At 253g/m, the extrusion is also heavy enough to stay straight across long runs without sagging inside the cavity before the plaster locks it in.
